WATERTOWN — The new DICK’s Sporting Goods in the Target plaza is now open.
The nearly 50,000-square-foot store, located in Towne Center on Route 3 in the town of Watertown, will celebrate a grand opening, starting on Friday, April 26, through April 28.
To celebrate the grand opening, former NBA and New York Knicks star John Wallace will appear at the store from 6 to 7:30 p.m. that Friday. Retired Syracuse University basketball coach Jim Boeheim will be at the store from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and former Syracuse University and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb will be there that weekend from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
The DICK’s store in the Salmon Run Mall closed earlier this week to make way for the new store.
